Every repair and every new roof guaranteed in writing

Up to 10 years on new roof installations, guaranteed in writing, and the tiles, slates, membranes and flat roof systems we fit carry their manufacturers' guarantees on top. We are public liability insured and the certificate goes out with your quote. You also get the photographs of every stage, so you know what is under the tiles.

What the guarantee actually means

Every quote we write states the guarantee on our workmanship for that job, in years, alongside the materials. The tiles, slates, membranes and flat roof systems we fit carry their own manufacturers' guarantees, which run on top of ours and which we register where the manufacturer requires it. If something we did fails within the period, you ring the same number and we come back and put it right.

What it does not cover, and why

Storm damage after the work is finished, because that is what your buildings insurance is for; alterations by someone else, because we cannot stand behind work we did not do; parts of the roof we were not asked to touch; and gutters left uncleared, because a blocked gutter will overflow behind the best fascia in the county. We say all of this in the quote so there are no arguments later.

Photographs and reports

We photograph every stage of every job: the strip, the timbers, the membrane, the battens, the lead, the deck. You get the photographs with the invoice. For storm damage and insurance work we also write a short report describing the damage and the repair, which is what insurers ask for.

Insurance and accreditations

We carry public liability insurance and the certificate is available with your quote. We are registered at Companies House as Reliable Roofers Ltd, number 16910186. Any trade accreditations we hold will be listed here with a link to the register; we do not print logos we cannot link to.
