GRP fibreglass flat roof with rooflight
A new OSB deck with GRP edge trims, finished as a seamless grey fibreglass roof around a flat rooflight, and a roof lantern sealed into a flat roof.
GRP is the system we recommend when a flat roof has rooflights or lanterns to seal around, because the laminate is formed up and over the upstand in one continuous skin with no joins. The first photograph shows the new OSB deck with the pre-formed GRP edge trims fixed, ready for the resin and glass mat; the second is the finished roof in grey topcoat with the flat rooflight sealed into it.
The third shows a roof lantern on a flat roof, with the covering dressed up the upstand and sealed. Lanterns leak at the upstand, not through the glass, so the upstand height and the way the roof covering meets it is what we spend the time on.
